Remember when your phone was just for calling and texting?

Now it’s your personal assistant, fitness coach, period tracker, meditation guide, safety companion — and honestly, your life manager.

Let’s not even talk about searching for “best women apps” on App Store (eye-roll)— thousands of options all promising to transform your life.

Some will. Most won’t. And you don’t have time to test them all.

As someone who’s downloaded (and deleted) more apps than I care to admit, I’ve found the ones that actually understand what women need: from handling 3 AM anxiety to fitting self-care into a packed schedule.

My ladies, shall we?

1. Flo

If you’re like me and don’t keep accurate track of your monthly circle, then head over to your phone store and download Flo.

I feel this is the best app for every woman.

The app was recommended by my aunt who is a nurse. She was educating me on sex life….so I don’t get pregnant when I’m not ready for the task.

I sluggishly downloaded the app because I knew she would ask me later.

Fast forward to today, downloading Flo is the best decision.

I get notified of my body change and which of my hormones is causing the change. So I prepare myself mentally to keep calm.

Somehow I consider Flo to be a mental checking app for women too.

The best part of using Flo is that you will know when to have sex and when not to.

If you’re sexually active or married Flo will come to the rescure.

The Flo app also have an option for you to invite your partner to see your monthly circle so they know when you will be in the mood.

2. Wise

I don’t like to admit it, but I’m bad with money.

My idealogy of money is to earn money then spend money.

I mean once you start making cool money, you will love to buy bookmarked fashion items.

TikTok and Instagram are not helping matters!

But at some point in your life, you need a financial app that can help you save money.

Wise allows you to store your money in Jars.

Wise is available to UK, US, Canada and other top world countries.

But if you’re like me and you live in Nigeria, then I will recommend getting Piggyvest.

On Piggyvest, you can connect your savings account to any bank account of your choice. This automation will make it possible for Piggyvest to deduct money and put that money in your savings account.

I find this feature so cool. So set daily savings of ₦2000 and I lock the account for 1 year (Usually for detty December)

I prefer using the web to access my Piggyvest, rather than downloading it. This way, I forget I am saving money daily.

3. Move with us

This is a fitness app tailored for women.

At some point in your life, you wanted to take fitness seriously. So my guess is you downloaded some exercise app, just like me.

However, you weren’t getting the result you wanted…so you deleted it.

There are some best exercise apps tailored for women, instead of following a general workout plan.

Most so-called fitness apps focus on rigorous training, the Move With Us app gives you diet plan and exercise plans for better fitness results.

Among the best exercise apps for women, Move With Us stands out because it will calculate your calorie deficit and even track your daily calories intake.

It’s easier to choose workouts plans on this app because you will be asked to take your body picture. You will also be asked some questions. With this data, the app’s algorithm will automatically show you which program is best.

There also have 12-week programs you can join to make workout fun.

Although you will have to pay a monthly fee. I recommend paying the annual fee of $189.99 if you can afford it.

It’s still cheaper than hiring a personal trainer.

4. Calm

This app is addictive…but in a good way.

If you like having a background song playing while sleeping or you have trouble sleeping then Calm app is all you need.

Just like the name, the app has lots of relaxing sounds that makes the atmosphere comfortable.

Pro Tip: Set the room to 45c and put on a very dim light or off the lights. Then turn on your preferred playlist on Calm

When you’ve been notified by Flo that your moody days are approaching, you can set up your room to be cozy and put on your Calm app too.

Apart from helping you to sleep, the app has sounds for meditation and yoga. What if you want to hear stories? Calm got you! (I feel like I’m marketing calm, lol)

This app is available for 14-days free trial and then a monthly fee of $5.83/monthly.

5. Google Calendar

This is a free app and you probably have it if you are using an Android phone.

If you don’t you can download if from your phone’s store.

If you’re fond of forgetting dates or appointments, then this app will be useful.

What makes Google Calender stands out for me is that I can set reminders for my loved one’s birthday.

At some point in your life, you wouldn’t like to talk too much. But you want to show up on important days like birthdays. This reminder is a yearly reminder.

Pro tip: For someone that deserves a gift, set the birthday day 2 days before the actual day, you can title it “Book a birthday gift for Sister” and then also that day set the alarm as early as 6:am.

This is the way you should build relationships. The recipient will never forget your effort.

6. Pinterest

Pinterest is an underrated best app for women.

Yes, I use Pinterest to check for fashion & decor inspo. I think Pinterest is one of the reasons I’m quite fashionable.

I mean I take pride in wearing clothes that are not trendy…they are just my unique style.

TikTok and Instagram are also good for getting fashion inspirations, but you find a lot of too-trendy stuff.

On the contrary, you will find trendy stuff on Pinterest, but with a unique tweak.

Again you can save your pins in an orderly manner!

For example, I’m a big fan of pre-wedding photo shot, so I’m saving inpos for the future (Don’t laugh…I’m just a baby girl).  I have also created boards for jewelries and outfit ideas too.
